What visibility options does a pit have?

Personal pits can be public, unlisted, or private. Public pits appear in the library and search; unlisted pits are link-only; private pits are limited to their owner and explicitly added collaborators.

Team pits use a stricter rule: they are always private to current team members, and their visibility cannot be changed.
